Proudly serving the Kingsport and Johnson City region

We love the neighborhood of Cooks Crossing in Kingsport, TN. One of our owners lived there in the past and he enjoyed the friendly neighbors and beautiful homes. Many of the homes were built by top-notch builders who used quality building materials. As these homes age, certain components, such as HVAC units and water heaters, can reach their expected life span.

Most electric and gas water heaters have a manufacturing expected lifespan of 8-10 years. If a quality unit is installed and regular maintenance is completed, the lifespan can stretch 15+ years.

We installed a new 50-gallon electric water heater in a beautiful Cooks Crossing home. The owners wanted to relocate the heater from their attic space to their basement mechanical room. The owner noticed some water around the old water heater, so they called Pink Duck. Upon evaluation, we found the Temperature and Pressure (T&P) valve leaking. The wood that the heater was placed upon was also causing issues because of the water leak. The unit was leaning and the owner was concerned it could fall and cause major water damage.

The homeowner opted to install a new 50-gallon electric water heater coupled with a tank booster to increase performance for their large family.

At Pink Duck, we believe plumbing is an art. We not only want to provide an effective solution…we believe the workmanship should demonstrate quality and excellence. Our experienced and trusted technician, Justin, did an amazing job of designing and installing this new water heating system. Great job Justin!
